“Marry Him If You Dare” CNBLUE Jung Yonghwa “clear and bright Mirae and Yookyung … I also like such a woman”
Q: Please tell me the reason for taking part on drama “Marry him if you dear”.
Yonghwa: First of all, it is the fun of a material. Till now, I took roles which look younger ,so I wished to change such image and to act the older role. That’s why I decided to act the role.
Q:You wanted to perform a role contemporary with yourself, right? How was it actually?
Yonghwa: Yes, now I feel acting is too interesting. I feel enjoying everyday. When I watch the filmed movie, feel satisfied.. and I think I am very happy kind.
Q: Please tell character “Park SeJu”.
Yonghwa: Park SeJu is a successor of a media empire. He is the financial clique chairman’s grandchild. Before inheriting marks, he works as a cameraman in a broadcasting station, with hiding his real personal position, in order to know a field staff’s life. Then, he meets Mirae and makes many friends. With such various experiences, improving his ability to be chairman’s chair and to lead friends. It is Park SeJu.

Q: Do you think what is the appealing point of Park SeJu?
Yonghwa: gentle personality? Although he is gentle and having consideration to others, but really severe for work.. I think that character is attractive.
Q:Tell us alike point and a different point between you and Park SeJu.
Yonghwa: Different point..SeJu is a person from financial clique, but I’m not (kkk). Alike place …. I think so many. First,character is similar. Bright character.Doing our best while working. And make separate work and private life. I feel these points are common.
Q: Did you had advices or demands from a supervisor or a dramatist to act Park SeJu?
Yonghwa: The supervisor or a dramatist made the characters united with actors. And they said “You can do it as you like to do.” So I performed with my feeling from reading the scenario.Thanks to it, was evaluated highly. In that meaning, I made the role by myself……. Of course, it doesn’t mean that the drama was made by only me. I did completed the role by myself. I’m satisfied with the point.
Q: From a certain view, the level of a life is too different between SeJu and Mirae. What is the reason SeJu was attracted to Mirae?
Yonghwa: Biggest reason …. When SeJu and Mirae met for the first time in Jeju Island, he felt freedom for her, I think. SeJu looks free person tho, since he is a person who inherits a company, there are many fields which he can’t control by himself freely. Therefore, SeJu was attracted at the first sight of Mirae, probably . And as watching she is working hard, he came to hope to help her. And rapidly change to like her.
Q: Compared Mirae and YuKyuon, which is a type as a feeling of SeJu?
Yonghwa: Me …. I think that both women are good. Does and divides by 2.
Q: Which part?
Yonghwa: Well… Two persons’ common feature is a clear and bright personality. I like such typed woman. Therefore, I think both of them are attractive.

Yonghwa: Sure.

Yonghwa: attracted….with watching a delicious cooking show? Maybe? I’m not attracted by woman’s moving. I love to see yummy things.

Yonghwa: Yes, with drool(kkk)
Q:The scene of sharing one blanket with Mirae is popular among Japanese fans.Which scene is the most impressive for you?
Yonghwa: Most impressive…. is a scene of falling love at first sight in Jeju Island.Watching Mirae is going into the sea and charmed at a glance is impressive. And the scene to listen to music with Mirae in a record room is also impressive.
Q:Is there any episode which happened while filming? Both hard and pleasant.
Yonghwa: Lee DongGong is my senior in the same production.One day it was happened when I was supplying oil at the gas station. A car came to me from back. When I thought that he was a DongGong senior’s, and I got off the car and went to greet. But the car owner was kind of fear person(meaning like gang).Then I’m surprised and shouted ”go immediately”, the manager was also surprised and left the gas station. I had such experience.
Q:The person fallowed you?
Yonghwa: No, no problem.
Q:Lee Dong Gong and you talked much at the filming spot?
Yonghwa: Yes, we had various talks while filming. He is the senior, he took care of me from the beginning of this drama, and led me. I feel I learned many things from him through this drama.
Q:Made a drama with Yoon EunHye, Han Chea, and Lee DongGong. Your image of them were changed by performing together? Tell respectively.
Yonghwa: Lee DongGong senior is very clam and speaks slowly. Of course, when he make funny I, really being funny. He was similar to my image. He is my favorite senior.
Before meeting Yoon EunHye,I was worried that she might be fearful person,because she is a big senior as a singer. But after meeting, no fear, and she was the very interesting person. I feel she is the brightest person I’ve ever met.She is taking care for others . She gives energy to staffs when we are tired on the filming sight.
I was embarrassed at first with Han Chea tho,now have got friendly and talk over a joke with each other. After I met her, I found she is pleasant person. If I was cracking jokes, she will point it out.
I would like to work again all of them together.
Q:Till now all the dramas had relation in music tho, in this drama, role of a son of a noble family, and there is no relation with music. Wasn’t it difficult to act it?
Yonghwa: I planned not to have take part in the drama which is related to music again. Since actually I am a singer, didn’t want to do the similar role. Therefore, I think I liked the scenario of “Marry him if you dear”. I thought that this SeJu role which I really wanted to do.Since there was confidence that I can do this role, I decided to act on this drama.
Q:You are so great. In person, what kind of the drama end is expected? Do you like what kind of end?
Yonghwa:I think the end viewer prefer is good.How about to have vote from viewers? Which love is succeeded or such kind…. I think that this is interesting.

Q: Kim Shin is big rival. So what is the SeJu’s attraction that Shin doesn’t have?
Yonghwa: It might…. SeJu is more considerate than Kim Shin? Kim Shin is a style he does not express what is thinking in his heart. SeJu expresses properly. That may be different.

Yonghwa: 25 years after …. I would like to enjoy myself together with my family. Living happily, than a big dream. I would like to live with doing my favorite things.
Q:What are your favorite things, a singer and an actor?
Yonghwa:Yes.
Q:What do you think what is the good point only as an actor? Compared to as musician.
Yonghwa: An actor is expressing another person who is not Jung Yonghwa through my body. It might be more attractive person than me. I can perform the charm which I don’t have is an actor’s good point.
Q:Drama filming and CNBLUE’s concert tour had overlapped this time. We guess it could be severe in both schedule and physically. Are there some way to overcome? How to release your stress?
Yonghwa: There is nothing special. Sleep when I don’t have schedule is the best, I think.However I may be tired, a concert is another matter.The energy using for the live performance for 2 hours springs from inside, no matter what I’m tired.I can it do, if I enjoy to do it.
Q:How about drinking much water or taking a vitamin tablet?
Yonghwa: I don’t do such kind of things.
Q:Did you often make contact with CNBLUE’s members also during filming? How is the reaction of the member when look at your drama?
Yonghwa: Yes, we are living in one dorm. They always say that they watched my drama. They praise and support me.
Q:Do you have any role to challenge in other drama from now?
Yonghwa: No role in particular to challenge tho, I would like to do various roles. Especially nothing.I would like to act any role, if it is a good scenario and a good role.

Yonghwa: The drama “Marry Him If You Dare” is a love story. Episode is going for choosing between a fated man and another man who have to love to change heroine’s future. I think no correct answer. Yonghwa: I just did my best. I got appreciation by lots of people, got praise by articles and got fun’s support, so I could be shot without any trouble. I could get a courage that can be any role in another drama.
What do you think about Sejoo’s charm?
Yonghwa: He is kind. He is courteously attentive to other people, but he is harsh for work. This is his charm, I think.
Are there likes and differences between Yonghwa and Sejoo?
Yonghwa: Sejoo is the person in the chaebol and I am not. (Laugh) We have some similarities. First, we have similar characteristics, like cheerful and work hard. Next, we can consider a business and own private time separately.

Yonghwa: The principal reason for it… Sejoo and Mirae met in Seju island though, I think Sejoo feel her freedom. Sejoo seems the free bird person, but he is the heir, there are not work out the way he wants. So Sejoo was attracted to Mirae at first glance. And then he knows about her while he gets his eye on her. He will become more and more loving her.
Which women is ideal type for park Sejoo, Mirae or Yoo-kyung?
Yonghwa: I think both of them are charming if they would add and divide by two. They have in common that they are cheerful. My ideal type is like that. So, I think both of them are charming.

Yonghwa: The scene that was I remembered that …the scene that I crushed on Mirae in Jeju island. The scene that seeing her going into the sea and go crushed on her was very impressive. And the scene that we are listening the music and in the record room was also the same.
